As computers continue to become smaller, cheaper and faster, we anticipate a world in which an individual will typically utilize hundreds of computing devices -- some mobile, others embeddedd in our environment, and all networked -- throughout the day. Richly peppered with computing and communication facilities, networked environments of the future will provide untethered, personalized, ubiquitous access to services in the environment of
